Our golden Assam is a favourite of both customers and employees. The golden Assam is a wonderful mix of older leaves and young golden buds. The tea is prized for its rich, sweet and malty flavour. This tea hails from the beautiful Assam region located in North east India. This region is known for its hot temperatures and high humidity, making it the perfect location for producing tea. This full bodied tea is sweet with subtle tropical fruit undertones and a honey-like, almost caramel malty finish.

Steeping Guide:
Teaware: Glass or ceramic Gaiwan
Amount: 3g /1½ teaspoons
Temperature: 100°c (212°F)
Steeping Time: 1 to 2 minutes for the first two steeps and 3 to 5 minutes for the third and fourth.
*These steeping directions are for a traditional Gong Fu style tea, if you are brewing this tea in a regular cup we recommend steeping for 2 – 3 minutes. This tea can also been steeped 4 times.
Iced Tea (1L)
• Use 6g of tea in a teabag or infuser
• Add 500 mL (2 cups) hot water
• Steep for 15 minutes
• Remove tea, add ice, and garnish as desired
