Limited Anniversary Edition – Aged Tian Jian Fu Brick
This special limited edition tea was created by Bai Sha Xi Tea Factory to commemorate the company’s 2017 anniversary, celebrating a decade of development since 2007. Pressed in 2020 with carefully aged 2017 Tian Jian tea, it represents a rare and innovative expression of Anhua Hei Cha.
What makes this tea unique is its fusion of Tian Jian and Fu Brick traditions. Finished Tian Jian tea from Anhua is further processed in the style of Fu Brick, encouraging the growth of golden flowers (Eurotium Cristatum). Because Tian Jian is darker in color, the golden flowers in this Tian Fu brick appear orange-brown instead of their usual golden yellow — a fascinating and beautiful transformation.
The result is a tea with remarkable depth and elegance. The liquor is smooth and layered, with notes of malt, dark chocolate, stone fruit, wood, and baked goods. Sweetness lingers in the aftertaste, with hints of dried fruit and spice. Robust yet refined, it is a tea of both heritage and innovation.
