Product Description

Yixing Clay Teapots also called “Zi Sha” “Purple Clay” are produced in Yixing, Jiangsu Province, China. They are smaller in size to allow the brewer to create smaller-shorter brews. As the taste develops with each steep, these traditional pots will absorb the flavour of the tea you make in it. This is best for your favourite teas to improve their flavour. With continued usage, you will find the teapot will improve in its appearance with a beautiful patina. These are treasures that will develop as you use them.

Pu-er, Oolong and Black teas work beautifully with the clay. We do suggest if you are to use your pot for White or Green tea, that you take the lid off in-between steeps. This helps keep the lower temperature that these teas needs and avoids burning the leaves.
